Our Story

Hi, my name is Vanessa and these are my dogs, Auggie and Finn. A&F was named after them for inspiring the idea. My small business is based out of South Carolina where all of our treats are baked fresh from our kitchen and all of our accessories are handmade.

I found my love for baking in high school in my culinary arts class where I then continued my passion and graduated from The Culinary Institute of America with a baking and pastry arts degree. A few years later I opened up my own bakery in upstate New York. Once covid hit, it brought life into perspective and the bakery was my life, which I loved, however I didn’t have much time to do much else, let alone enjoy life or spend much time with my dogs. So a little over 5 years later I decided to start a new chapter in life with my husband and 2 dogs where we moved to Bluffton, SC.

I have always been that “crazy” dog mom that goes above and beyond for birthdays and well, most days! This included homemade treats, birthday cakes, and special bandanas. Being able to make treats that you know your pup will love and ingredients that you know are actually good for them is an amazing feeling. My favorite part about baking has always been the excitement from the customer when seeing or tasting something I’ve made, so seeing all the excited wiggle butts and tails brings me so much joy! So naming our treats after classic desserts was a must!
